34TH annual alarc charity ice dive partnered with tonka nordic racing - January 1, 2024
ALARC Ice Dive - Join ALARC and its partner Tonka Nordic Racing for ALARC's 34th Anniversary Annual ALARC Ice Dive. This event is not only for bragging right's, it raises a large contribution to wounded veterans support organization, Tunnel to Towers and the Tonka Nordic Racing team. The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. What better way to start the New Year than helping contribute funds to help our wounded veterans. Some of the proceeds will also help pay for some of the expensive equipment used by the Tonka Nordic Racing team.
The event starts at 9:00 am with 300 - 400 of your closest friends for the event of the year. All divers will be photographed 3 - 4 times with the photos available online within a few days of the event. $50 gift certificates will be awarded to the two best costumes.
The ALARC and Tonka Nordic Racing Ice Dive will be held in Lake Minnetonka from the shoreline at the public docks in Excelsior at 395 Lake Street right behind the Port of Excelsior. All registrations must be done online. This will be a Drive-Up, Dive, and Drive Away Event. We are partnering with Excelsior Brewing. All of the awards and Shark and Orca robes will be handed out at the brewery along with a small pizza that will be given to each diver. Of course you can stay and have the superb Excelsior Brewing beer and order pizza from Olives right next door.
If possible, divers should have someone drive them to the event and be ready to drive them away when the diver has finished his/her dive. If you do not have a diver, there are a limited number of legal parking spots in downtown Excelsior. Divers wear their dive bathing suits under their street clothes and be ready to take off their street clothes and perform their dive when they get to the lake.
Each year at the ALARC and Tonka Nordic Racing Ice Dive, there is a competition for the high school that brings the most students who jump into Lake Minnetonka. Even if your school does not win the award, ALARC will donate $100 to your school for every ten divers that complete their jump. Choose your school when you register for the ALARC Ice Dive.
Come share the fun at the ALARC Ice Dive! If you would prefer not to jump but wish to donate to our charities, you can do so by following the registration page and choosing the make donation option..

Thanks to Senator Terri Bonoff, Excelsior is now the Ice Dive Capital of Minnesota. This year the ALARC Ice Dive will be celebrating 30 years, and we are proud that Excelsior has been our home since the very beginning.
